Newgrange Monument to Immortality by Anthony Murphy
This is a well researched and presented look into the ancient passage graves of Ireland and specifically the most impressive of them all, Newgrange. Newgrange monument was built prior to the pyramids and Stonehenge. Anthony Murphy delves into a heroic engineering work with a deep concern for Newgrange's astronomical and religious significance. We underrate the achievements of the ancients, who with Newgrange built a monument on the western extreme of Europe.

This book is written to be enjoyed and is copiously illustrated with fine photographs taken by the author. If you wish to learn more about Newgrange then Anthony Murphy's book is recommended. It also makes a good present for those interested in stone age civilization and the development of modern man.

So much more than just dull recitation of fact

I had the real privilege to hear Anthony Murphy speak about Newgrange and the other ancient sites of Ireland and was absolutely floored at his knowledge and passion not just for the academics of these sites but the richness of the stories and traditions that are a deep part of them. This book is the accumulation of years of piecing together the scattered pieces to create a rich and meaningful whole that lets you understand and appreciate these sights at both the intellectual and the intuitive level. He is an amazing writer and investigative scholar and I can't recommend him enough!

Bold insights. Deeper meaning.

I have bookshelves of writings on Ireland, on Newgrange and other megalithic sites. Yet for all those books, this is the one I've been looking for. At last. An author who dares go beyond counting and measuring stones with carefully calculated geographic locations. For most such archeological evidence is the end. For Murphy, it's just the beginning, the foundation for an exploration of deeper understanding and meaning. For twenty years I've led tours of Ireland's sacred sites and witnessed so many stand in the middle of a stone circle with questions of "so what?" So what was the purpose and intention of these amazing places? So what meaning and significance do these sites hold for our lives today? Excellent questions. And Murphy is bold enough to offer some answers. Thoughtful, insightful, and well researched, this book takes us places others have declined, places we so long to go.

Most of it was fine, but somehow when I used the object structure I created for one sample and had to change it in the section "Creating Multiple Objects" it didn't compile. I know I have something in the wrong place but can't figure out what.

Good reference

I like this book and use it. C for dummies is too full of words having nothing to do with c while many other books are too full of words having so much to do with c that you can not find anything. This is the ABCs of c. It does not include algorithms or cover the peculiarities of special function registers in micro-controllers but if you haven't used "case" in awhile or forgotten the symbol for nor it is a great reference. I've recommended it to colleagues and have received good feedback.

I'm so in love with Ace it hurt my soul this book ended. This book was good from beginning to end just like parts 1&2. The best part was Aaliyah tagging Sunshine ass! I don't want to give more away so go get it and find out how good it was good yourself. Great job Jazmyne!!

This was fiyah, Ace had a team of true soilders holding him down and they had a crew of ladies who was down for there men. No questions asked, that dam Aaliyah was the epick woman. She had me sitting on the front row of the big screen. Amir was the true definitions of a BOSS, a MAN and a FATHER. Like he said all he has is his word and he kept ut at every turn. Loved this whole series. Sunshine gave being a mother a whole new outlook with her actions, selfish is an under statement for her character. Sad but true many woman act as she did, everyday. Adam all i can say is, jealousy is the devil. He wanted to be his brother so bad but he wasnt cut out to walk a mile in Ace shoes bfore he would be ready to tuck his tail and crawl in a hole. Jvion, no commen, gma always said if you cant say nothing nice say nothing at all and my words are R RATED when it comes to him and Parker. Yeah for those picky readers, who act like they havent ever made a mistake. Enjoy mine and Get over yourselves, l mean really every book can't be perfect as long as you enjoy the story and know what the author is trying to say thats all that matters. Jazmyne this was my first series by you, I asure you it want be my last. You did a very good job, characters were well developed, the story came together nicely you keep shining I see great things in your future between the pages of your books.

This was a very good story they had to go through all that too get too there happy ending I love this series with all my heart I love the relationship that ace and Aaliyah have there bond was strong one thing I can say for sure ace had some real true friend on his team I respect them for what they did for him and there woman that was holding them down damn I hated that it had too end but it's worth it 5 stars all the way must read
