I think the book is very complete and your approach is similar (but more detailed) to the project management approach that Roger Pressman and I followed in our general software engineering text (so I agree with it). Your coverage is very complete and I agree with the sequencing of topics. The writing is very accessible to upper level undergraduate students and to masters students.

It is a very good book and your attempt to cover all the areas of software project management is commendable. It is definitely a good book for introducing the students to the all the different aspects of software project management. The depth of coverage is sufficient to arouse the interest in the student to dig deeper.

About the Author
Ashfaque Ahmed has more than 22 years of experience in the software industry. He has a BSc in engineering and an MBA in information systems. He has worn many hats during his career, including that of a project manager, test manager, system analyst, and business analyst. He has managed projects of sizes varying from a few thousand dollars worth to projects worth millions of dollars. Some of the larger projects ran for a span of more than two years. He has also worked on software product development projects that typically run for decades and that keep adding new features and modifying existing product features almost endlessly.
Ahmed is a popular author. He has recently authored a book titled Software Testing as a Service, which was published by CRC Press, Boca Raton, FL, in September 2009. He has written more than 15 research papers for Technology Evaluation Centers and Tech Target. He is also a contributing author at Technology Evaluation Centers (www.technologyevaluation.com) and an expert at Tech Target Application Development Media Group (http://www.techtarget.com/).

I am a chemical engineer and have good appetite for reading books on
many subjects including on software and IT. I also happen to have
interest in learning about the IT industry as it increasingly
influences my day to day life. Recently I bumped on this book. I liked
this book as I found that reading this book was a cake walk for me.
Learning new concepts is not easy. But this book makes this job easy.
