Great collection of baseball stories

I absolutely loved reading ‘107 Crazy, Fun, Original Baseball Stories.’ I’ve read some baseball related fiction before and a few memoirs, but this was a really unique way to deliver interesting stories about an amazing sport.

You can tell when reading that Greg M Sheehan really knows and appreciates the game. The stories have great variety — some teach us lessons, others make us laugh, some do both. I will definitely be rereading some of my favorites whenever I’m longing for the old sport. Sheehan has really put together a gem of a book for any diehard baseball fans out there who just can’t get enough.

The course was completely, ridiculously botched up by our school, but this book didn't help either. Its a little cheaper than other options, but the price does not reflect the quality of this book. Its only good for kindling or paper weight. RIP tree that died making this book. I hope you both find new careers Mr Stock and Watson.

About the Author
Michael Sullivan, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Chicago State University, received a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Before retiring, Mike taught at Chicago State for 35 years, where he honed an approach to teaching and writing that forms the foundation for his textbooks. Mike has been writing for over 35 years and currently has fifteen books in print. His books have been awarded both Texty and McGuffey awards from TAA.

Mike is a member of both the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America and the Text and Academic Authors Association, and received the TAA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. His influence in the field of mathematics extends to his four children: Kathleen, who teaches college mathematics; Michael III, who also teaches college mathematics, and who is his coauthor on two precalculus series; Dan, who is a sales director for a college textbook publishing company; and Colleen, who teaches middle-school and secondary school mathematics. Twelve grandchildren round out the family.

Great book!

Love this book! The language takes some getting used to because its older english, but once you get into it this is a fascinating story with great themes of freedom, adventure, power, and storytelling. Caleb is an interesting character, and the book leaves you wondering at the end if everything he wrote is true or not.

I keep trying to read this, but I find myself not being able to get through it. I mean the first-half is sooo long and dully repetitive I'd feel more at home reading "Pamela" or "Clarissa."

very -very- easy fun

This book came into my hands (figuratively, I bought it on kindle) rather by mistake: I was intrigued by the blurb and there was no reference on its Amazon page (nor in the related links) to its being part of a series, while in fact it is no less than the third installment.

Lucky me, "Dark court" is a series in that the setting is the same and characters from other instalments pop up in this as well, but each volume concentrates on a different couple and I did not need the previous two to follow the plot.
The plot itself, if you manage to overlook the rather blatant logic flaws in its development (the two lovers who have sex while pursued by armed men????), flows quickly and entertainingly up to three quarters of the less than impressive lenght. When Brandon leaves the unseelie court the story conveys the bizarre feeling of dragging and -at the same time- being hurried, as if the author had lost interest. Many events happen in the last pages, battles, bondings, homecomings but they are all told coldly and skipped over with a lack of detail that would/should embarass any published author.

The only well -so to say- developed character is Brandon to whom belongs the POV during most of the story. His lover and all the others look more like spoiled children than anything else. They incur in misunderstandings fit for teens (young teens) and tear their heart no end about them...

Sex scenes are there, explicit, decently executed.

Had not the plot collapsed to the point of unreadability I could have enjoyed this work as a very easy and undemanding M/M romance set in a urban fantasy world and could have overlooked the despicable layout: typos, faulty paragraph spacings and wrong chapter headings were innumerable. The publisher should feel ashamed.

Book 3 in her series and an enjoyable read

This is book three of Stormy Glenn's Dark Court series, and a very enjoyable installment. You can read each book as a standalone, I actually read this book first and purchased the other two afterwards. As with most romances the book isn't some great literary achievement but its a great afternoon tea read.

The characters are likeable, the bad guys predictable, and the naughty scenes are hot. I love male pregnancy stories, and with so few out there this is a rare treasure! Through the three stories the plot is thickening in the background of the romances and I smell quite a few more romances in the air before this series comes to its completion. Of all her books this series is probably my second favorite, and of all the m/m romance series (paranormal) it ranks in my top 5! These are short reads, however, with each book becoming longer than its predecessor.

I highly recommend this book, as well as the series, to anyone who loves male romance with a flair of paranormal!

love the series, and the story line, the characters are deeply thoughtout and well rounded, it's definately something i would like to see more of, if i had one complaint is that gay romances, have very short story lines, i would definately like to see thicker books.
